Happy Canada Day, Cedar Grove Family!
What a privilege it is to live in a country like Canada—one that values democracy and grants us the freedom to worship openly. We must never take this for granted. There may come a time when such freedoms are not guaranteed, so it is vital that we continue to lift up our leaders—our Prime Minister and all the ministers across Canada—in prayer. Let us ask for God's wisdom and guidance in their lives.
I hope you took some time on Canada Day to bring our nation before the Lord in prayer as a family. If not, I encourage you to take a moment today!
What a wonderful Family of God service we had this past Sunday! I was truly blessed to see all the various ministries and the people involved, along with the videos highlighting the amazing work going on at Cedar Grove. I’m so proud of all our ministry leaders, volunteers, and those who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep Cedar Grove thriving and to bless our community through outreach programs.
As we head into summer, we recognize that this can be a lean time for many. Let's step up and do what we can—whether it’s volunteering or offering support to others in need. If you’re looking for help or connection during the summer, don’t hesitate to reach out to any of our pastors by using their first name followed by @the-grove.net, and they’ll be in touch.
Let this also be a reminder from my message: go out this week—and in the weeks to come—and call people out of the darkness and into the light that Jesus Christ offers. May we be a church that constantly reaches out to our neighbors and friends, sharing the hope of the Saviour with those who are lost.
I look forward to meeting new faces throughout the summer as we continue to worship and celebrate Jesus Christ together!
