EVERY GOOD GIFT by Ann Voskamp
The Women's Gathering | FREE ONLINE EVENT
Saturday, December 5 | 9 am - 1 pm
As you may know, our annual Women’s Retreat was cancelled this year due to COVID-19 restrictions. Instead this year, we are having an online gathering. We will be watching Every Good Gift by Ann Voskamp and breaking out into small groups between each session.
We are keenly aware of how restrictions imposed in the COVID 19 pandemic have caused social isolation for many so in light of this current reality, please do not hesitate to invite women who you believe would benefit from this event. Please encourage them to register as only the event registrants will be admitted to our virtual gathering.
ABOUT EVERY GOOD GIFT
How natural is generosity to who you are? What do you do with what you have? Have you ever wondered what the Bible says about hospitality, generosity, and stewardship?
We have a cloud of witnesses globally, nationally, and locally who provide incredible testimonies of generosity. Tethered to biblical accounts of giving, this six-session series with author and speaker Ann Voskamp explores examples of offering hospitality, time, money, spiritual gifts, and empathy to the glory of God.
Everything we have is a gift. Will we hold tightly to these gifts with a scarcity mentality or will we handle them with open hands?
How can I join the Women's Gathering?
Participants are required to pre-register for the event. Simply click on this link: REGISTER HERE
How much does the Women's Gathering cost?
This event is FREE.
Can I invite my friends?
Absolutely! This event is for all women. Share this page with your friends.
What is the schedule for the Women's Gathering?
The event begins at 9am. The duration is approximately 4 hours. There are 6 sessions and we’ll be having small groups between each.
What kind of technology do I need to watch the Gathering?
DEVICE – Laptops and PCs are better than smartphones (including iPhones) because the screen is larger for easier viewing.
INTERNET – As for internet connection, it’s best to have stable, strong cable (hard wired) internet. Second best is strong Wi-Fi. Third (not so stable) are SIM cards. Usually, if you can watch videos on YouTube or video chat via Zoom or Skype, you should have no trouble joining the event.
Is there a benefit to watching together?
YES! We are a community of women who are part of a global movement. The benefit of watching together is to be able to participate in our breakout sessions and live the experience with friends.
How can I get prayer?
Share your prayer requests, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or submitting request in chat during the event.
How can I donate to Cedar Grove?
We give as an act of worship because Jesus first gave to us (2 Corinthians 8:9). Your generosity helps us ………. Follow this link to give: Click Here

In a season where traditional church gatherings have changed significantly, God appears to be leading us forward by taking us back – to the early practice of the New Testament Church where believers typically met in small groups in each other’s homes (Colossians 4:15; Philemon 2). House churches were a practical way for believers to get together, study the Word and fellowship. Similarly, this approach provides a practical way for us to continue gathering in a safe and responsible way, given public health concerns around covid19. Church@Home can also help us focus less on what the church is NOT (a building and what happens in there), to what it was really intended to be (a priesthood of all believers all ministering to one another).
