I have been a part of the family here at the Grove since May of 2003 when I was hired as a Children's Ministry Summer Intern. I came for a summer job, but God had other plans and I have been serving here ever since. I absolutely love working with the youth here at the Grove. My passion is to see young people live for God and pursue Him with all they have while they are young, setting foundations for godly lives that continue to make a difference. I pretty much have the best job ever, they actually pay me to hang out with youth, play and plan rowdy games, teach the word of God, work with/oversee amazing youth leaders, work alongside of some of the best parents ever and laugh my guts out on a regular basis.
A little about me: I have lived in Surrey for most of my life. I was raised in an awesome Christian home where a love and passion for God was modeled for me on a regular basis. I graduated from Trinity Western University with a degree in Biblical Studies as well as a degree in Psychology and a Certificate in the Human Services Program with a Concentration is Sociology.
So I guess I am kind of nerd. I love studying especially in the area of Biblical Studies. I love talking about God, His word and just hearing what He is doing in the lives of others, though to be fair I pretty much just love a good conversation in general. I also really love sports. I have played sports my entire life and tend to be a little on the competitive side. Crazy games is one of my favorite parts of youth ministry. I laugh a lot and find my life to be incredibly funny.
Some interesting facts about me: I love shoes and shoe shopping, like a lot.
Dr.Pepper Slurpees make my day. I love tea, but hate coffee. I think ketchup is one of the grossest things ever made and I find furbies frightening.
Did I mention that I tend to be long winded? Anyways, thanks for reading my bio. I hope that I have the opportunity to meet you sometime.
Blessings,
Angela
